Foot fixation

Foot fixations (supports) are mounted on the pedals and serve as additional support to keep the foot from slipping off the pedals. The fixation has a balance weight to ensure horizontal alignment at all times. For people who don’t need the fixation, the straps can be pushed forwards or backwards. The foot fixations are adjustable in length and width. Van Raam has 2 sizes of footrests: Fix20 and Fix25. Fix20 is suitable for shoe sizes 22 to 36 with a minimum shoe width of 6.5 cm and a maximum shoe width of 9 cm. Fix25 is suitable for shoe sizes 37 to 48 with a minimum shoe width of 8.5 cm and a maximum shoe width of 13 cm.

Attaching and adjusting the Van Raam foot fixation

If you order an adapted bike with one or two foot fixation(s), this will be fitted by the dealer. In our article and video “Attaching and adjusting the Van Raam foot fixation” you can find out how to attach and remove a foot fixation from a Van Raam bike and what sizes are available. This can also be handy to know if you want to transport your bicycle. Also, see how the width can be adjusted to your foot size.
