The Cargo Bike Shop brings the best in cargo bikes to the Midwest. After nearly a decade in the bike industry, Tim, the founder, once swore he’d never open a bike shop. That all changed when he added a Larry vs. Harry Bullitt bakfiets to his life so he and his daughter could ride more, and drive less. Inspired by the awesomeness that bakfiets brought to his life he started TCBS in his garage in 2014, opened a retail location in 2016 in Madison, WI, and a second location in St. Paul, MN in 2020. Tim and his crew are proud of the inclusive, empowering, and experiential environment they have built where they work with you to help you find the ideal bike for your needs.

Hamilton Trike
Cora Muis
Address: 861 Brock Rd, Dundas, ON L9H 5E4
Email: [email protected]
Phone: 831-428-1233
Website: hamiltontrike.com
Cora’s children were raised, she was done with usual school volunteering and she was more than a little bored with bookkeeping. So she started into the bike/trike business by working a season as a mechanic in another shop. She also attended Winterborne Bike Institute in Guelph, Ontario. In 2013, Hamilton Trike and ‘bent was opened to sell recumbents and trikes to those who were looking for them – which was not simple to do in Canada. But with an increased interest in ‘three wheeled biking’ for her customers, she made it happen. Although recumbents are the majority of her sales, she wanted to add in ‘extra-ordinary’ bikes and began offering the Van Raam cycles in 2016.

The Barrows opened their shop in December 2014 and today, it has over 75 different types of recumbent cycles – and they’re growing to include unique special needs cycles such as the Van Raams! Their oldest daughter, Sarah, and son-in-law, ‘Rosie’, joined the family business in 2017 and they moved to a charming new location. In March 2018 they moved to a larger space (for more cycles!) located a block and a half off the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail in Marietta, PA. The mission of their small family owned business is simple; connect people with cycles that make them feel good and get them outdoors to have fun. They are experienced and certified in adapting cycles for those with special needs. And, they offer repairs and maintenance for practically anything with wheels – from recumbent to traditional upright cycles, from strollers to wheelchairs and walkers. Scott loves his ‘retirement gig’ and building and tinkering with cycles. He’s a Barnett Bicycle Institute certified bicycle mechanic and Bicycle Safety Instructor certified by League of American Bicyclists.
